我们中国有四个传统节日，春节、中秋节、端午节、还有清明节。在这四个节日中，我最喜欢的节日就是农历五月初五端午节。
到了端午节那天，我跟着奶奶一起到厨房里包粽子。只见奶奶先取出粽叶洗干净后，卷成一个圆锥状，然后在里面加入一些糯米，五花肉等东西，又再放入一些糯米，然后用粽叶包住，最后用线绳将粽子绑扎结实，放入锅中煮熟即可。
我依样画葫芦的学着奶奶的手法来包粽子，结果不是忘了洗粽叶就是包的'糯米露了出来；到最后把粽子包的不成样子。奶奶看我手忙脚乱的样子在一旁差点笑掉了牙，奶奶看不下去了，亲手一步步地教我应该如何包粽子。没过多久，我终于学会了，但看完成果后觉得还是有些别扭。
在粽子煮好以后，我很好奇地问爸爸为什么端午节要吃粽子呢，爸爸笑着对我说，有一个传说是这样子的，屈原是一个为皇帝干活的人，平常对百姓们也很平易近人。因为皇帝很喜欢屈原，导致其他大臣对他很是嫉妒。于是，大臣们在皇帝面前说了很多屈原的坏话。渐渐的，皇帝也开始疏远屈原。最后屈原的国家灭亡了，屈原觉得没有了国，活着也没有什么意思，就跳江自杀了。人们为了不让江里的鱼虾吃掉屈原的尸体，就往江里扔粽子。
听完了爸爸的话，我若有所悟地点了点头。
在四个传统节日里，我最喜欢端午节了，因为可以吃我喜欢吃的粽子。

爸爸说完了。我说：“屈原真是好样的！可是妈妈，粽子是怎么包的？”妈妈说：“粽子是用翠绿，鲜嫩的芦苇叶包着雪白的糯米和鲜红的大枣，如果不包大枣，也可以用豆子代替。煮熟它，要一个晚上。煮熟以后，剥开变成墨绿色的芦苇叶，就看见洁白的米团在里面，很好吃，并且吃不腻。它既是开胃美食，又是营养丰富的滋补品。”
